Hi there
I am Mohib Ali Altaf, a versatile and published photographer, poet, and designer originally from Afghanistan, now residing in Istanbul, Türkiye. With expertise in photography, graphic design, UX/UI, and product design, I've spent over 8 years building a diverse portfolio that includes significant contributions in photography, product design, and poetry.
Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege to collaborate with prominent media outlets and organizations like the France Institute, Subhe Kabul Daily, and Khaama Press.
As the Creative Lead and Product Manager at Aseel until July 2024, I was responsible for designing several key products, including Buy Good (an e-commerce platform), Do Good (a platform for humanitarian aid delivery and fundraising), Aseel Institution (an aid distribution and fund management admin panel), and the Atalan App (a local aid delivery app).
Beyond design and journalism, my work as a visual artist has been recognized internationally, with my photography featured in Black & White Minimalism International Magazine and on the covers of literary works such as Nasoor, a collection of short stories by Khudada Haidary, and Airport, a poetry collection by Aref Rahmani. I’ve had the honor of presenting my work at exhibitions around the world, including The Factory in Salzburg, Austria, Presenting Afghanistan at Piyadasa University in Malaysia, and my 1st Induction and 2nd Induction exhibitions at the France Institute Gallery in Kabul, exploring contemporary photography genres.
In addition to my artistic pursuits, I’m also a translator. Alongside Gulabuddin Sukhanwar, I co-translated Memoirs of Aga Khan: World Enough and Time into Persian, making this important work accessible to Persian-speaking readers. This project, along with my exhibitions and design contributions, reflects my dedication to blending creative and humanitarian work.
